Joysn West began as nothing more than a dream—a vision to bring opportunity, knowledge, and lasting change to a forgotten corner of our community. In the small, rural town of Roseboro, NC, we saw what others overlooked: an abandoned building, worn down by time, but full of untapped potential. What looked like a shell to some was, to us, a foundation waiting to be rebuilt—not just with bricks and wires, but with purpose.

It all started with a conversation. A few of us sat down and asked a simple question: What if this place could become something more? What if we could transform it into a hub for education, technology, and empowerment—right here where people need it most?

From that moment, Joysn-West was born.

We rolled up our sleeves, rallied community members, and committed ourselves to something greater than any one person. Through relentless dedication, long nights, and countless hours of planning and problem-solving, we began turning that abandoned building into a multipurpose computer lab—a safe, inspiring space where children and adults alike could explore the world of STEM education, digital literacy, and financial empowerment.

Today, that building stands as a symbol of what’s possible when a dream is fueled by action and a community comes together around a shared mission. Our lab is now filled with bright screens, brighter minds, and boundless ambition. Students are learning to code. Adults are gaining financial literacy. The next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs is being nurtured right here at home.
